National Conservation Lands

national conservation landsA great video “marking 10 years since the establishment of America’s Conservation Lands – 27 million acres of the American Wild West” is on Mother Nature Network’s website. These are conservation lands that have been saved for cultural, ecological, scientific or archaeological reasons, and are now preserved and managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The National Landscape Conservation System Act was first established by President Clinton in 2000, but was not officially authorized till Congress enacted it in 2009.

The video combines armchair travel, great photography and conservation. Well done, Mother Nature’s Network!
