Bid To Save The Earth
If you’ve ever wanted to spend a day with President Bill Clinton, meet Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber backstage, or have a one-hour tennis lesson with John McEnroe, the fantasy auction “Bid To Save The Earth” Green Auction might be of interest. The deep-pocketed opportunities for once-in-a-lifetime celebrity experiences are fun to read.
The Bid To Save The Earth has an online Green Auction with over 200 experiences and a few items, and you can visit anytime between now and April 7. Once you look at the non-celebrity experiences, many of the prices become more affordable.
On March 29, 2011, a live invitation-only event will occur in New York with some of our world’s top philanthropists, celebrities and conservationists enjoying an evening of entertainment, bidding, and a Runway to Green fashion show.
The Auction benefits Oceana, the Natural Resources Defense Council, Conservation International, and the Central Park Conservancy. The four environmental groups receive a percentage of the money raised by the auction. Last year the auction raised $2.4 million for the four organizations.
Aahh, the fun times to dream about! Have a great weekend.
